If you’re looking for a way to reduce stress and increase balance, try practicing the graceful movements of Tai Chi.
Join us for this new, online series on Zoom, which is being offered in partnership with the Harrison Public Library. Master Alex Lamas will be leading us in an afternoon of Qigong, Tai Chi, and meditation. Other dates in the series are February 8, February 22, March 8, March 22, and April 5.
Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. It involves a series of low impact movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Tai chi puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it safe for all ages and fitness levels. It may be especially suitable for older adults who otherwise may not exercise. No experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
